Pillsbury’s Asset-Backed Finance practice group represents lenders, lessors, lessees, and financial intermediaries in connection with all aspects of asset finance transactions, both nationally and internationally. We help companies manage the cost of complex equipment transactions by selecting the most advantageous financing structures and negotiating favorable financing packages with banks, leasing companies, and other providers.

Our team advises clients on federal and state tax aspects of asset finance, including preparation and negotiation of tax indemnities, rendering tax opinions, and providing ongoing advice regarding changes in federal and state tax law. Common issues include true lease and early buyout option analyses, rent allocation and prepaid rent issues, cross-border lease structuring, and assistance in connection with tax audits.
