Bank Finance
Drawing on our attorneys’ shared experience and interdisciplinary approach, Pillsbury provides comprehensive commercial lending advice to banks, insurance companies, hedge funds and other institutional lenders and borrowers in connection with a full range of secured and unsecured financings. For example, we have structured asset-based lending facilities, acquisition facilities, financial asset warehouse facilities, letter of credit and acceptance facilities and capital market backup facilities.
Our commercial lending lawyers cover a multitude of deal structures in the major- and middle-market sectors, including single- and multiple-borrower facilities, participated and syndicated facilities, single- and multiple-facility transactions, domestic and cross-border loans and dollar-denominated and multi-currency loans. Our work includes all tranches of credit, including senior, secured, unsecured, mezzanine and subordinated facilities.
We have substantial experience in negotiating and documenting loans to borrowers in all industrial sectors, from aircraft, satellites, manufacturing, oil refining, commodity and specialty chemicals, to the newest form of technology and business processes. We have substantial experience with all forms of collateral, including intellectual property rights, computers and software, moveable equipment, financial assets, movie rights, media and telecom, oil and gas, radio licenses, railroad rolling stock, real estate, timber, manufacturing inventory and accounts receivable.
Internationally, we work with our own foreign-based offices or our network of local attorneys to advise clients on cross-border credit facilities and the establishment, maintenance and release of security interests in connection with the acquisition and sale of collateral in countries throughout the world – from Argentina to Zaire. We also offer the advantage of representing many of the largest banks and financial institutions in today’s credit marketplace, numbering us among the short list of firms able to bring not only seasoned legal experience, but also awareness of “where the market is” on key issues confronting financing parties.
