Cable & Multi-Channel Video Delivery Systems
In the 1950s Pillsbury began to represent some of the first cable systems in the US Since then, our attorneys have represented cable MSOs, wireless cable systems, open video systems, and cable networks in regulatory and transactional matters. We have also advised major cable television program service providers in matters ranging from daily regulatory issues to leveraged buyouts, and have assisted both municipal and private ventures in implementing fiber-based telephone, broadband data, and video services. We also have extensive experience in the application of the Copyright Act to multi channel video providers, and have participated in cable and satellite copyright rate setting and distribution proceedings since 1978.
