Mr. Rodriguez is a partner in the Litigation department of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman. He has successfully represented clients in writ proceedings, jury trials, bench trials and arbitrations in state and federal trial and appellate courts. His practice focuses on government contracting, construction, health care and financial services litigation, as well as business shareholder derivative litigation involving claims of breach of duty and fraud. He has substantial experience litigating writ of mandate cases against governmental agencies, including writ challenges to regulations under California's Administrative Procedure Act.

Mr. Rodriguez regularly advises clients on a wide variety of public contracting and procurement issues. He has successfully litigated multiple public contracting bid protest matters, including having successfully defended multiple awards by state agencies and municipalities. Mr. Rodriguez also advises clients concerning issues under the California Public Records Act in the context of public contracting. He has also successfully litigated a variety of construction disputes for project owners as well as contractors, involving both public and private jobs, including several recent complex mechanic’s lien matters.

Mr. Rodriguez has also handled numerous commercial disputes involving contract and business tort issues. He has obtained numerous multi-million dollar arbitration awards and jury verdicts for clients in a variety of industries.
