One of the signature strengths of Pillsbury’s top-ranked Finance practice is that we represent financial services clients in difficult markets and first-of-a-kind deals. Pillsbury represented UBS in the first shared-risk securitization of a $362 million portfolio of 50 leased aircraft engines, which was named an aviation capital markets deal of the year by Jane’s Transport Finance. Pillsbury represented Citigroup in the first U.S. financing of a Vietnam venture in three decades—a $101 million aircraft deal for Vietnam Airlines that was named a Global Trade Review deal of the year. And in another Global Trade Review awardwinner, Pillsbury represented Citigroup as lead arranger and bookrunner in one of the largest-ever private investments in Haiti, raising $134 million for Digicel, the leading cell phone operator in the English-speaking Caribbean.
