Connecting With Customers, Connecting With Qualcomm

Fabless semiconductor company Atheros released its first WLAN chipset in 2001, and sold its 200 millionth chipset just seven years later—a growth rate that quickly placed the company in the semiconductor big leagues. Atheros' relationship with Pillsbury literally goes back to the beginning: the founders formed the company while working out of a Pillsbury conference room. Since then, we've advised Atheros on most of its milestones. We represented the company in its Series A, B, and C financings, and advised them on critical patent and trademark filings in the U.S. and abroad. We represented the company in its $126 million IPO, and counseled them on their strategic technology acquisitions. And when Qualcomm made a $3.1 billion bid for the company, Atheros again chose us to advise on the deal—Qualcomm's largest-ever acquisition.
