Corey Harris is an associate in the law firm’s Corporate & Securities practice and is located in the Washington DC office. His practice is focused on representing alternative asset managers across a broad range of activities with a particular emphasis on the representation of private investment funds, funds of funds, and Investment Advisers with the structuring, operation, and management of their firms along with regulatory and compliance matters. Mr. Harris also advises institutional investors with respect to U.S. and non-U.S. alternative investments.
In addition to his work related to alternative asset managers, Mr. Harris has experience in representing clients in a variety of business combinations including mergers and acquisitions, securities filings, and general corporate law matters.
As an in-house lawyer, Mr. Harris represented pension funds and asset managers based in the U.S., Europe, and Asia in securities lending transactions in addition to regulatory and compliance matters.
At the University of California, Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law, Mr. Harris served as an articles editor of the Berkeley Business Law Journal and was an active member of the Berkeley Center for Law Business and the Economy.
