Corporate Social Responsibility
What does Corporate Social Responsibility mean? In Pillsbury's view it is the conscious alliance of our business interests with the well-being of our people, our clients, our communities and our environment. It is understanding that good citizenship is good business.
In 2007, Pillsbury decided to give greater support to these values, becoming one of the first U.S. firms to launch a formal Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. With the help of a CSR director, we united our programs—diversity, pro bono and community outreach, and sustainability—under one umbrella.
Pillsbury's CSR program is a continuation of the firm's service to its many and varied communities. At the foundation of our program is the belief that:- Diversity enhances creativity and performance.
- People make the firm, and our people take pride in giving back to our communities through volunteerism and pro bono legal services.
- The planet's resources are precious and should be used with care.
