David Beck is a counsel in the law firm's Litigation practice and is located in the Washington, DC office. Mr. Beck advises on the resolution of complex business and contract disputes, with particular emphasis in the areas of commercial construction and insurance recovery.
Mr. Beck represents both general contractors and owners in matters involving construction defect claims and contract disputes. Mr. Beck also advises on the negotiation and drafting of contract documents. Mr. Beck’s experience spans the construction industry and includes claims arising from the construction of power plants, infrastructure projects, government and commercial buildings, stadiums, hospitals, and condominium developments.
In the area of insurance, Mr. Beck has handled numerous claims involving builders risk, commercial general liability, employment practices liability, pollution, professional and other policies. Most recently, he has handled insurance claims involving engineering and construction defects, directors and officers liability, employment liability, cyber liability, and other issues.
Mr. Beck is a member of the team that received the “2016 Law Firm of the Year” award for the Construction category by U.S. News & World Report/Best Lawyers. He also is a member of the team awarded the 2010 Chambers USA Award for Excellence in Construction.
