In a panel moderated by Linda Kotis, David Keyko and Matt MacLean will discuss fiduciary and trust administration issues when a beneficiary has a same-sex spouse or partner. The program will address issues including: (1) how recognition of a beneficiary’s martial status and descendents an affect the trustee’s powers and duties; (2) recent high-profile adoption cases; and (3) ways attorneys and fiduciaries can mitigate litigation risks regarding nontraditional relationships.
