- Investigating and responding to DFEH and EEOC charges alleging retaliation and discrimination on the basis of race, age, sex, and disability, resulting in multiple case closures
- Drafting employee handbooks, separation agreements, confidentiality agreements, telecommuting policies, background check policies
- Counseling corporate client as it transitioned workforce from independent contractor to employee status
- Preparing and delivering presentations on hot topics in employment law, including social media policies and recently-decided cases of interest
- Second-chairing $10 million commercial arbitration
In addition, Ms. Cohen assists clients in the litigation of contract disputes, partnership and corporate disputes, and real property matters. While attending law school, Ms. Cohen worked for three years as a law clerk at the Board on Professional Responsibility for the District of Columbia. Prior to law school, Ms. Cohen worked for eight years in higher education administration and student services.
