Merger and acquisitions deals within the tech sector began to stall early last year as the industry faced harsh economic headwinds, according to an article in Mergers & Acquisitions. However, the industry is expected to rebound with the surge in artificial intelligence dealmaking.

“AI is frothy,” said Allison Leopold Tilley, the co-leader of Pillsbury’s Merger & Acquisitions and Private Equity practices.

According to industry analysts, the AI surge is boosting the valuations of public and private tech companies, which could motivate hesitant sellers who have been waiting for better deals.

“I think we are finally reaching parity between buyers and sellers,” Tilley concluded.
