The American Nuclear Society Honors Jeff Merrifield With Presidential Citation Award

Merrifield, who leads the nuclear team at Pillsbury and who also co-leads the firm’s Energy Transition practice, is widely recognized as an international thought leader on nuclear power and the deployment of complex energy systems. A former presidential appointee to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. He assists large and developing nuclear utilities, suppliers and governments in effectively meeting regulatory requirements and achieving strategic objectives regarding the deployment of complex energy systems. He is also at the forefront of international efforts to embrace advanced nuclear and fusion technologies and played a central role in the Fusion Industry Association’s efforts to establish a regulatory framework for fusion, which was recently shortlisted by Financial Times for innovation.
