The DC Jazz Festival has appointed Pillsbury Insurance Recovery & Advisory partner and practice co-leader Peter Gillon as Chairman for their Board of Directors. Former U.S. Representative from Missouri and now senior policy advisor at Pillsbury, the Hon. William Lacy Clay Jr., among several others, will also serve for the first time on the Board of Directors.

“I am honored to be appointed Chairman to the DC Jazz Festival Board of Directors,” Gillon said. “The new set of directors helps us ensure that we have the broadest skills and perspectives around the table as we set the course for the next phase of the festival’s growth.”

Pillsbury has been a long-time supporter of the festival and has made generous donations over the years.

The nonprofit organization was founded in 2004 with the goal of unifying diverse communities, highlighting the D.C. area as a premier cultural destination, and honoring the rich legacy of jazz within the District.

The 2022 event marks the festival’s 18th year and will take place from August 31 – September 4, 2022.
