Pillsbury served as counsel on behalf of Synnex Corp. on one of M&A Atlas’ Deals of the Year, which will be presented at the 10th annual M&A Atlas Awards gala in New York on June 5. The M&A Atlas Awards recognize the best value-creating deals across the globe each year.

Pillsbury advised Synnex in its $800 million acquisition of Westcon-Comstor’s American operations from Datatec Ltd. The transaction was awarded Global Corporate Deal of the Year for a transaction above $500 million for the Middle Market segment. The team representing Synnex was led by Silicon Valley Corporate partners Christina Pearson and Allison Leopold Tilley.

To win this award, the transaction had to be the “best growth-generating strategic transaction” in terms of the effect it had on global markets within the respective sector of the acquiring firm or the international operations or offerings of that firm. To identify winning transactions, M&A Atlas evaluated nearly 600 deals spanning five continents. In addition to individual transactions, the awards honor outstanding firms, illustrious dealmakers and growth leaders from the global corporate, investing, restructuring and transactional communities.
