San Francisco Finance partner Thomas K. Gump led a team advising Revelation Partners LLC on its acquisition of up to 16 health care venture capital investments from GE Ventures. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Revelation Partners, a San Francisco-based investment firm focused on health care, is an affiliate of Leerink Revelation Partners. GE Ventures is the venture capital subsidiary of General Electric Co. The sale did not include any venture capital investments held by GE Healthcare.
“For these highly negotiated transactions to be successful, you need to address the priorities of each party involved. We were able to buy a high-quality portfolio, deliver for GE Ventures and create a winning formula for the underlying portfolio companies,” said Mike Boggs, managing partner at Revelation Partners.
Working with Gump on the deal were senior counsel Laura Watts in Silicon Valley and associate Alexandra Murphy in San Francisco.
