Insurance Recovery & Advisory partner Stephen Asay has been selected by Pillsbury to serve as its 2024 Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) Fellow.

Consideration for this fellowship requires participants to have eight years of practice experience, demonstrate leadership skills, community engagement, remain committed to diversity and inclusion efforts and be an impact player within the organization. Components of the Fellows program include participating in interactive professional development events, attending meetings to hone leadership skills such as executive presence, and networking with preeminent leaders in the legal field.

Stephen Asay advises clients on proactive risk management strategies and the resolution of complex commercial litigation involving insurance coverage and construction claims. Stephen represents clients at all stages of a dispute, from initial claims advocacy and negotiations, through discovery, trial and appeal. In addition to his practice, Asay holds a leadership role on the firm’s diversity and inclusion committee.

The firm has also selected State & Local Tax associate Taylor Wolff to be a member of the LCLD Pathfinders programs for the class of 2024. Diverse, early-career attorneys that present critical career development strategies, including leadership and professional networking, are offered a chance to participate in the Pathfinders program. As a part of the program, Pathfinders work in collaborative peer circles, investigate career-building practices, and participate in workshops led by industry-leading experts.

Taylor Wolff advises clients on multistate litigation, planning, audit defense, controversy issues and mergers and acquisitions. He has advised clients regarding income and franchise nexus, taxability, apportionment, combination, and sales and use tax nexus and taxability.

“Pillsbury acknowledges the significance of LCLD's Pathfinders and Fellows programs in elevating the professional development of our diverse attorneys and fostering a robust peer network,” said Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer Rosa Walker. “We appreciate the dedicated time and energy that Stephen and Taylor are investing in their professional advancement.”

Founded in 2009, the LCLD has grown to an organization of more than 400 members who serve as either general counsel of major corporations or managing partners of the nation’s leading law firms. To learn more about LCLD and its programs, visit www.lcldnet.org
