Advise on client's plans to design, license and deploy its 125 MW "mPower" nuclear reactor for commercial use, including alliance with Bechtel Power Corporation, known as Generation mPower, to create factory-made units for sale to utilities and other power generators.
BP Alternative Energy
Advised on the first utility-scale solar project in New York State, involving a 32 MW AC photovoltaic solar panel project at Brookhaven National Laboratories in Long Island, with power to be sold to the Long Island Power Authority; project value approximately $200 million.
Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation
Advised on world's largest nuclear deal, launching the United Arab Emirate's nuclear power industry, including a $20 billion contract to construct four 1,400 MW nuclear plants.
Advised in the $3.8 billion financing of a gas pipeline and LNG liquefaction terminal in Peru; lenders included The World Bank (IFC), the Inter-American Development Bank and several export credit agencies.
NextEra Energy Resources
Advised the leading North American developer and operator of wind farms in connection with a construction and turbine loan, as well as a contemporaneous agreement to purchase the Facility upon completion.
For energy storage client with an innovative zinc-air battery technology, secured $5 million in development funding from the U.S. Department of Energy's Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy and advised regarding site selection in the U.S., including private sector finance and federal government funding opportunities.
South Hook Gas Company Ltd.
Represent client with the structuring, drafting and negotiation of long-term terminal services agreements in context of client's contracting the full capacity of the South Hook LNG Terminal in West Wales, UK and ultimate importation of a significant portion of the UK's natural gas requirements.
Counsel to client for the sale of a portfolio of minority interests in five U.S. electric generating plants representing more than 4,700 MW of electric power in Alabama, Georgia, Oklahoma, Texas and Virginia.
