Pillsbury Real Estate partner Eric Kremer has extensive experience advising on commercial real estate transactions, infrastructure development and complex project financings.

Eric represents owners, tenants, buyers, sellers and developers in real estate purchase, sale, leasing and financing transactions, including entitlements, site due diligence, title insurance and structuring issues. He regularly advises on the acquisition, development and disposition of commercial and industrial properties, including in the hospitality, retail and office sectors, as well as renewable and conventional energy infrastructure projects, and high-tech and biotech research, development and manufacturing facilities. For major institutional lenders and sophisticated borrowers, Eric has structured and documented industrial and commercial construction and project financings, large revolving credit facilities and secured term loans, and has negotiated loan workouts and credit facility restructurings.

  • Represented Orange County-based Pacific Hospitality Group in sale of the Bacara Hotel in Santa Barbara County, California, named the “Single Asset Transaction of the Year (Over US$25M) 2017” at the Americas Lodging Investment Summit (ALIS) Awards.
  • Represented San Diego developer, Coast Income Properties, in connection with permitting, mapping, construction, design and financing matters involving its 24-acre mixed use office and retail center project in Carmel Valley, San Diego.
  • Represented NextEra Energy Transmission, LLC, a subsidiary of NextEra Energy, Inc., in connection with its acquisition of the owner of the Trans Bay Cable, a 53-mile, high-voltage direct current underwater transmission cable system in the San Francisco Bay Area.

  • Represented Newport Center Ventures, LLC – a joint venture comprised of Eagle Four Partners, LLC, Lyon Living Development Company and their affiliates – in the purchase of the Newport Beach Marriott Hotel & Spa.
  • Represented Zurich-based EF Education First in connection with the acquisition of the 15-acre former William Carey International University campus in Pasadena, California for redevelopment into a new campus for EF’s international language education programs.
  • Represented Holtec International in connection with its purchase of the Oyster Creek nuclear power station in New Jersey to be decommissioned.
  • Represented the developer in the acquisition and equity ownership structure of a $121 million, 15-story commercial and retail complex overlooking Petco Park in San Diego.
  • Handled the $408 million sale of a biologics manufacturing facility and the $29 million sale by a pharmaceutical client of a biologics pilot manufacturing plant facility in Oceanside, California.
  • Advised a solar generation developer in connection with infrastructure and financing issues for a 600-megawatt phased photovoltaic solar electric energy project in Imperial Valley, California.
  • Represented the purchaser in the $1.2 billion acquisition of a 17-building office property portfolio totaling 2.1 million square feet.
