In 2014, women held only 17.7 percent of boardroom seats at U.S. Fortune 1,000 companies. The goal of 2020 Women on Boards, a grassroots campaign to raise awareness about the need for diversity on corporate boards, is to raise that total to at least 20 percent by 2020.

2020 Women on Boards soon will convene its fourth-annual National Conversation on Board Diversity. On one day in November, in cities across the United States, thousands of C-Suite and senior-level executives will discuss and explore the benefits that women bring to company boardrooms.
As a nationwide 2020WOB sponsor, Pillsbury’s lawyers will be involved in locations across the U.S. Susan Serota, leader of the firm’s Executive Compensation & Benefits practice, is vice-chair of 2020WOB’s New York steering committee and will help host the New York event. Litigation partner Jennie La Prade is a member of the group’s Los Angeles chapter and serves on the host committee for that city’s event. Aviation partner Jennifer Trock and Litigation partner Deborah Baum will participate in DC, and senior associate Deborah Carrillo will represent the firm in San Francisco.
