Ms. Buffington represents clients in litigation and intellectual property matters. Her practice encompasses business disputes, commercial litigation, unfair competition actions and securities fraud claims. She handles entertainment and intellectual property litigation, including copyright matters, claims for misappropriation of name and likeness, disputes concerning privacy rights, celebrity imitation and stalking issues and cases involving licensing disputes. She takes the lead on insurance coverage disputes for policyholders in a variety of contexts, including digital media, employment and copyright matters.

Ms. Buffington is well versed in outlining litigation strategies and guiding clients through all stages of litigation, from pre-litigation negotiations and early assessment of the case for ADR through dispositive motions, preparation of experts and trial.  She has first- or second-chaired three trials, including a commercial dispute involving delivery of defective and non-conforming goods and a copyright infringement action.
