In 2003, Judge Shira Scheindlin of the United States District Court - Southern District of New York ruled on the Zubulake v. UBS case, which set an important precedence in the area of electronic discovery. More than six years later, Judge Scheindlin ruled on the Pension Comm. of Univer. of Montreal Pension Plan v. Bank of Am. Secs., LLC, which is potentially the most significant e-discovery decision affecting counsel since the Zubulake case.
