Mr. Waller is the Managing Partner of Pillsbury’s Los Angeles office. Mr. Waller was formerly Co-leader of Pillsbury's Real Estate practice.

Mr. Waller counsels developers, investors, owners, lenders and governmental entities in various aspects of real estate and environmental law. Mr. Waller’s practice involves acquisitions, dispositions, development, financing and leasing of all types of real estate, including commercial, industrial, retail, golf courses and resorts. Additionally, Mr. Waller focuses on “brownfields” projects where he advises clients in connection with the acquisition, disposition, financing, due diligence, risk allocation and cleanup of contaminated properties. Mr. Waller has extensive experience negotiating with the California Environmental Protection Agency, the Department of Toxic Substances Control and the California Regional Water Quality Control Board. 

Mr. Waller was named as one of California’s “Super Lawyers” in 2006-2009. Mr. Waller was also named as one of the “Best Lawyers in America” in 2005-2009. 

Mr. Waller has been an adjunct lecturer on environmental law at the University of Southern California School of Urban and Regional Planning, Graduate Program in Real Estate Development. Mr. Waller has been a speaker on underground storage tanks and general environmental law issues at BOMA’s San Diego Asbestos and Liability Seminar; a speaker on environmental issues at the International Bankers Association in California Annual Convention; a speaker on real estate environmental issues at the Los Angeles County Bar Association General Real Estate Law Subsection; a speaker on the “Brownfields Initiative” at the Los Angeles Economic Development Forum on Recycling Industrial Land; a roundtable participant in the California Real Estate Journal ’s “Getting the Green Light Without Green Space;” and has been a speaker at various firm seminars for firm clients on environmental law issues. Additionally, Mr. Waller has written numerous articles on the topics of “brownfields” and prospective purchaser agreements.
