Ms. Bonnington is a senior associate in Pillsbury's Litigation and Wine, Beer & Spirits practices in Sacramento. Practicing general civil litigation, Ms. Bonnington has experience representing large commercial entities, such as financial institutions, managed health care plans, land developers, small business owners, governmental agencies and individual clients in a variety of disputes. Her scope of experience includes handling sophisticated contract cases, license revocation hearings, unfair competition and discrimination in employment cases, debtor-creditor disputes and unfair business practices and complex economic restitution claims.

Ms. Bonnington has experience in all phases of litigation in state and federal courts and alternative dispute forums, from investigation to discovery and motion practice, through trial and appeal. She has taken and defended over 75 depositions, including those of experts, senior executives and plaintiffs. Ms. Bonnington has examined more than 50 witnesses in administrative trials and arbitrations.

Ms. Bonnington focuses on licensed beverage law and regulation.  She represents wineries, distilleries, importers, breweries and retailers in regulatory practice before state alcoholic beverage control boards and in general civil litigation matters.  She also regularly advises such clients in connection with state and federal alcoholic beverage laws.  Ms. Bonnington has written and lectured in the areas of wine, beer and spirits litigation and regulation.

Ms. Bonnington is well-versed in administrative law and procedure, having participated in a number of administrative trials before state agencies, including the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control and the California Department of Health Care Services. She also has considerable experience with California writ proceedings.

Ms. Bonnington is a Mock Trial Coach for the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.
