Mr. Matus is a trial lawyer with more than 30 years of experience handling complex commercial and IP litigation. He is the national leader of our Information Law and Electronic Discovery practice. Mr. Matus' practice focuses on commercial litigation, information law, intellectual property, electronic discovery, privacy, data security, and records management.

Mr. Matus has significant first chair experience in jury and non-jury trials involving bankruptcy, intellectual property, contract and product liability on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants.  His extensive experience includes litigating trademark, copyright, and patent infringement, misappropriation of trade secrets, unfair competition, domain name, and breach of contract.

Mr. Matus is a frequent speaker on topics such as data privacy, e-discovery and cloud computing. He has also written extensively, including key chapters on information technology and intellectual property in leading legal treatises.
