Del Monte Corporation’s new 153,000-square-foot headquarters lease at San Francisco’s One Maritime Plaza was selected by the San Francisco Business Times as the Best Office Lease of the Year. A team led by Glenn Snyder (SF) assisted the client with the transaction, which was the city’s largest non-renewal lease of 2009.

According to the Business Times, Del Monte’s move was spearheaded by its Director of Corporate Real Estate Ray Volan, who saw an opportunity to lock in some of the city’s nicest office space at recession-era rents. The lease gives Del Monte the opportunity to bring its San Francisco workforce under one roof.

Others assisting on the transaction were Scott Barat (NV), who worked on the design and construction contracts, and Brian Wong and Alison Kadzik (both SF), who worked on Del Monte Foods Company's SEC filings related to the lease.
