Ms. Giblin is a counsel in Pillsbury's environmental and energy groups. Ms. Giblin's practice focuses on management of environmental risk in business and real estate transactions and compliance counseling under federal and state environmental laws, with a particular experience in waste, water, and transportation issues. Her transactional practice includes environmental due diligence, assessment and allocation of environmental liabilities, and identification of and assistance with obtaining federal, state, and local regulatory approvals necessary for consummation of transactions, including environmental permit transfers. She has substantial experience regarding nuclear power plant acquisitions, including the successful acquisitions of the Nine Mile Point and Seabrook nuclear power stations. Ms. Giblin's compliance counseling practice includes solid, hazardous, and radioactive waste identification, handling and disposal issues; reporting and site remediation obligations under federal and state laws, including the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), the Comprehensive Response, Compensation and Liability Act, and voluntary cleanup and Brownfields programs; National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permitting issues under the Clean Water Act; and transportation of products and wastes under the US Department of Transportation Hazardous Material Regulations.
