John W. Webber
|
Mr. Webber is a Consulting Principal in Pillsbury’s Global Sourcing group. Mr. Webber is not an attorney. He is a proven leader in negotiating and designing delivery solutions for global information technology outsourcing engagements. Mr. Webber advises on the development of enterprise-specific sourcing strategies, assessment of market opportunities, evaluation of service provider capabilities and the design and evaluation of market solutions. Since joining Pillsbury, Mr. Webber has managed sourcing arrangements in the education, energy, retail, insurance and government sectors in the United States and the Netherlands.
Mr. Webber has over 28 years information technology experience and has served as a service solutions executive at two of the industry's three “Tier One” Information Technology Outsourcing service providers. In addition, Mr. Webber also has in-depth knowledge of financial, legal and human resource aspects of complex outsourcing arrangements.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Webber served as a Senior Engagement Director for a Tier One IT service provider. In that role, he managed strategic application and infrastructure outsourcing pursuits and coordinated strategy and resources on multidomain deals (e.g., HRO, F&A BPO) with an approximate cumulative value in excess of $700 million.
Previous responsibilities in which Mr. Webber has played a prominent role include:

Leading solution development and managing intermediary relationships with regard to three significant IT infrastructure outsourcings with a cumulative contract value in excess of $600 million on behalf of a second Tier One service provider.

Selling, negotiating and closing two multinational IT infrastructure outsourcing agreements with cumulative value of $500 million, and providing strategic sales leadership and support to IT mega-deals in France, Germany, Belgium, Holland, Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Norway with cumulative value in excess of $8 billion (including multiple opportunities with go-to-market and joint-venture deal structures), for another third Tier One IT services provider.
In addition, Mr. Webber has significant IT delivery experience, both managing account relationships and delivering application development and maintenance services and IT infrastructure support services in the areas of finance, human resources and corporate administration.
