Kirt Suomela is an engineer and scientific advisor at Pillsbury. He provides assistance on engineering, environmental and other technical and scientific matters.

Kirt analyzes loss causation in first-party property damage matters and prepares damage assessments regarding environmental matters. He also assists with identifying technical experts and working with counsel to present or cross-examine such experts.

Kirt’s experience includes permitting issues for hazardous and non-hazardous waste landfill permits for a county department of public works, air and water permits together with environmental remediation projects for General Motors, and some of the largest Superfund sites in the country for several engineering consulting firms.
