Mark J. Danielson
|
Mr. Danielson is a partner in the Silicon Valley office of Pillsbury. His practice focuses on providing patent prosecution, litigation and counseling services, but also covers all aspects of IP law, including trademark, copyright, trade secret, unfair competition, open source and Internet law. More particularly, he provides strategic intellectual property counseling, drafts patent applications and secures their prosecution through the U.S. and foreign patent offices, including appeals and oral arguments in the U.S. Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences, prosecutes and defends against patent, trademark and trade secret litigation actions in the federal courts, performs IP diligence reviews and audits, counsels and negotiates technology transactions including acquisitions of and licenses for intellectual property rights, and prepares validity, clearance, right-to-use and infringement opinions. Mr. Danielson's IP experience covers a broad range of technologies, including computer hardware and software, network systems and software, microprocessors and architectures, signal processing, data communications, alternative energy such as solar cell and interconnect technologies, Internet and e-commerce applications and infrastructures, semiconductor devices and fabrication, business methods and medical devices.
Mr. Danielson’s practice is uniquely suited to providing cutting-edge and customized services to his broad base of Silicon Valley and California clients, including early-stage, start-up and pre-IPO companies, privately held small and midsize companies, to large and public companies, including Fortune 500 corporations.
Complementing his legal experience and advanced technical degrees, Mr. Danielson has nine years of high-tech industry experience, including engineering stints at IBM, Georgia Tech Research Institute, Texas Instruments and GTE. He has hands-on experience in such technologies as digital signal processing, embedded processors, radar systems, TTL design and object-oriented software development.
