Ms. Porwit is an associate practicing in Pillsbury’s Executive Benefits & Compensation and Health Care Groups. Her practice includes advising and preparing documentation related to health and welfare plans, HIPAA compliance, and defined contribution plans. Ms. Porwit has handled submissions to the Department of Labor through its voluntary correction program, as well as submissions to the Internal Revenue Service related to the tax qualified status of retirement plans.

In the area of health care law, Ms. Porwit has focused on issues related to privacy and security of health information as well as the Stark Law. She has drafted physician employment agreements and policy and procedure documents for a health information exchange organization.

Ms. Porwit previously worked as a project manager for an Internet intelligence and digital forensics company investigating Internet based threats including unsolicited email, software piracy, online fraud, and IP infringement.

Ms. Porwit has an undergraduate degree in East Asian Studies from Princeton University. After graduating she worked as a lecturer at a polytechnic in Singapore and as a management associate in a major financial institution in Taiwan.
