Mr. Carlston is the firm-wide leader of Pillsbury's Finance practice section, a group of more than 60 attorneys organized in teams that includes Transportation Finance, Leveraged Acquisition Finance, Energy & Infrastructure Finance, Distressed Investing/Secondary markets, Public Finance, Structured Finance and Trade & Commodities Finance as well as general Banking, Derivatives and Bank Regulations. He has over 20 years of experience representing lead arrangers, agents, lenders, investors, sponsors and borrowers in domestic and cross border senior and junior financings, with an emphasis on leveraged buyouts and recapitalizations of private equity sponsored enterprises. Mr. Carlston has represented domestic and international commercial banks and investment banks, finance companies, private equity funds, hedge funds, publicly and privately held corporations and portfolio companies in leveraged, high grade and mezzanine financings, including acquisitions, working capital facilities, restructurings and workouts, covering many industries, including hospitality, media and telecommunications, health care, retail, and energy.
