Mike Lepre is a partner in the law firm's Energy practice and is located in the Washington, DC office. He has more than 20 years of experience representing domestic and foreign generators of nuclear power, and vendors of nuclear power plant components, in a wide variety of transactional, litigation and regulatory matters.

On behalf of his clients, Mr. Lepre negotiates complex commercial contracts, especially those involving the purchase of uranium fuel, services, and equipment for nuclear power plants, as well as for the engineering, procurement and construction of such plants. He advises clients in matters involving nuclear power plant acquisitions, power purchase contracts, electric grid interconnection agreements, and federal loan guarantees.

Mr. Lepre also represents nuclear power generators and vendors in high stakes trial and appellate litigation, domestic and international arbitration, and mediation of disputes arising under their contracts.

In addition, Mr. Lepre regularly appears in licensing and other federal regulatory proceedings before the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, most recently representing a number of applicants seeking licenses to construct and operate new nuclear power plants. He also has represented natural gas companies, oil pipelines, electric utilities and water companies in state and federal matters involving rates, terms and conditions of service, and the establishment of tariffs. Mr. Lepre also has advised domestic and foreign utilities regarding their participation in U.S. markets as members of power pools, power marketers, and as owners of regulated facilities.
