Mike Lepre is a partner in the law firm's Energy practice and is located in the Washington, DC office. He represents domestic and foreign generators of nuclear power  in a wide variety of transactional, litigation and regulatory matters. Mr. Lepre advises these companies regarding complex transactions, especially those involving the purchase of fuel, services, and equipment for nuclear power plants, as well as for the engineering, procurement and construction of such plants. Mr. Lepre also represents utilities in trial and appellate litigation, arbitration, and mediation of disputes arising under their contracts. He also advises utilities regarding nuclear power plant acquisitions, power purchase contracts, electric grid interconnection agreements, and federal loan guarantees. In addition, Mr. Lepre participates in licensing and other federal regulatory proceedings before the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, including proceedings in which applicants seek construction and operating licenses for nuclear plants. He also has represented natural gas companies, oil pipelines, electric utilities and water companies in state and federal matters involving rates, terms and conditions of service, and the establishment of tariffs. Mr. Lepre also has advised domestic and foreign utilities regarding their participation in U.S. markets as members of power pools, power marketers and as owners of regulated facilities.
