Miles Mason advises television and radio broadcasters, telecommunications carriers and other media and technology companies on a wide range of transactional, regulatory and policy issues.

Miles structures and negotiates mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, programming and distribution agreements, cable and satellite carriage agreements, and other operational agreements. He also represents clients on FCC compliance, enforcement, rulemakings and adjudicatory proceedings, and he advises lenders and equity investors on a variety of FCC regulatory issues. Prior to joining the firm, he was a partner in the Washington, DC, communications firm of Fisher Wayland Cooper Leader & Zaragoza, which merged with Shaw Pittman in 2000.

Representative Experience

  • Represented broadcaster Sinclair Broadcast Group in over $2 billion in television station acquisitions over the past four years.
  • Represented Atalaya Capital Management and other parties in the restructuring, refinancing and ultimate sale of Adelante Media Group, a Spanish language radio company.
  • Represented Mercury Capital Partners in the acquisition of radio stations across the country in a number of separate transactions valued at over $40 million.
