Pillsbury has been named to an elite core of 25 firms that general counsel have recommended to their peers for more than five years in a row, according to the Most Recommended Law Firms report from BTI Consulting Group. Six hundred fifty law firms serving large clients were included in the survey, with each rated based on more than 320 in-depth interviews of corporate counsel at companies with $1 billion or more in annual revenues. BTI interviewers asked GCs to share their law firm recommendations, unprompted, with Pillsbury once again among the most popular responses.
“If you look at these firms you’ll find very specific investments they have made to make sure they understand what their clients are thinking,” BTI president Michael Rynowecer told Law360. “These things make [the 25 law firms on the list] different from firms who are verbally committed to client service, but don’t actually put those programs in place.”
Rynowecer added that many of the most frequently recommended law firms on BTI’s list do things like implement client feedback programs, create client service teams and require regular intervals of client service training for partners, all of which are critical aspects of Pillsbury’s offering. He also noted that the top factor that drives a client to recommend a law firm to a peer is client service, with 65 percent of clients reporting it as their primary reason for making a recommendation.
“As clients face more complex work, they need law firms who are more responsive and more tuned into their goals and how those goals might change,” Rynowecer said.
