In an article on trigeneration, Peter Wyckoff, head of Pillsbury’s climate change and sustainability group and a partner in the environmental law practice, commented on the Obama administration’s recent actions related to climate change.

According to Wyckoff, President Obama has directed the Environmental Protection Agency to submit a proposed rule for new power plants on September 20, 2013, a date that could prove important to both the U.S. and international trigen industry.

Wyckoff argued that the EPA rules will likely influence use of emissions control technologies worldwide. “The EPA is developing a vision for what forms of control technology are sensible," he said, which “no doubt will have big ramifications in Europe and elsewhere.”
