A dispute between Lion Oil Co. and a group of insurers over $80 million in business interruption losses will go to trial, U.S. District Judge Susan O. Hickey ruled this week when she denied the insurers’ request for summary judgment. National Union Fire Insurance Co. and other insurers have argued that Lion Oil’s losses were caused by a regulatory shutdown and not the rupture of a pipeline owned by ExxonMobil, Law360 reports.
