In its 2014 Client Relationship Scorecard, BTI Consulting named Pillsbury a “Banking Leader” for its commitment to meeting the needs of banking clients and forging strong industry relationships.
Jonathan Whitney, managing partner of Pillsbury’s New York office, spoke to Law360 about Pillsbury’s creation of client teams to focus on the firm’s largest clients. Made up of attorneys in all areas of a client's business, the goal is to know the client's business as well as the client knows it, he said.
“The point of the client teams is to bring people from all different practices together to talk about the clients and to anticipate their needs even before the clients know what they are,” explained Whitney.
More than 500 corporate counsel at Fortune 1000 companies and several other large organizations were interviewed for the survey, which assess client service across numerous sectors, such as transportation, communications and financial service, in addition to banking.
