PILLSBURY ADDS STRUCTURED FINANCE PARTNER PETER MORGAN TO NEW YORK OFFICESeptember 10, 2013
New York — Pillsbury today announced that Peter Morgan, highly regarded for his experience with structured finance and private equity transactions, has joined the firm’s New York office as a partner in the Structured Products Team. His client base covers a broad range of industries, including energy, insurance, financial services and transportation.
While his primary practice focuses on structured finance, Morgan has a strong background in leasing, lending, private equity and fund formation involving a variety of assets, such as lease and loan receivables and transportation equipment. He has advised numerous parties, including insurers, underwriters, investors, issuers and liquidity banks, in public and private securitizations, lease arrangements, senior secured transactions, second-lien financings, mezzanine financings and high-yield debt issuances. Morgan also counsels clients on distressed debt and special opportunity matters, including representing clients in workout negotiations and asset acquisitions and dispositions.

Morgan earned his J.D. from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, where he was a Wypyski Scholar and editor of the Hofstra Law & Policy Symposium. He received his B.S. in Accounting from the Stern School of Business at New York University. He is a member of the New York and New Jersey Bars.
Morgan is a member of the American Bar Association’s Commercial Finance and Private Equity and Venture Capital Committees as well as the Uniform Commercial Code Subcommittee. He is also a member of the New York State Bar Association, the Arab Bankers Association of North America, the Managed Funds Association and the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association.
