SAN FRANCISCO—For the tenth consecutive year, Pillsbury has scored a perfect 100 on the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index survey. Each year the organization surveys businesses across industries to gauge trends and national benchmarks for corporate policies and practices related to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender employees.

The 2015 index scores are based on how well businesses meet five core criteria according to survey responses. The five criteria are:

  • Equal employment opportunity policies that include sexual orientation and gender identity or expression
  • Equivalent employment benefits for LGBT employees, including “soft” benefits and transgender-inclusive health coverage
  • Organizational LGBT competency, including training, resources and accountability measures
  • Public commitment to LGBT diversity
  • Responsible citizenship, including no known activity that would undermine LGBT equality

"America’s largest employers embrace LGBT inclusion as a best business practice and protection for employees on the basis of gender identity as a non-negotiable,” said HRC president Chad Griffin in the report.
