Pillsbury continues to earn top recognition in the 2015 edition of U.S. News & World Report & Best Lawyers “Best Law Firm” rankings—a comprehensive survey of America's top law firms—with 89 Tier 1 rankings included in its overall 146 practice rankings. Pillsbury added several new national rankings at the Tier 1 level, including Patent Law, Securitization and Structured Finance. The survey also resulted in 167 individual rankings for Pillsbury attorneys, with 97 lawyers ranked in one or more of 5 major practice areas around the U.S.
This year, two Pillsbury attorneys were selected as Lawyers of the Year: Ellen K. Harrison is the Washington, DC Litigation: Trusts & Estates "Lawyer of the Year" and Jan Harden Webster is the San Diego Litigation—Employee Benefits (ERISA) "Lawyer of the Year.”
To be selected for Best Lawyers, an attorney must be nominated and voted on by fellow peers in the profession. In terms of individual lawyer rankings, 97 Pillsbury attorneys were ranked, with 43 attorneys recognized in two or more categories, for a total of 167 rankings, including:
