Pillsbury was a multiple winner at the 11th Annual M&A Advisor Awards. Each year M&A Advisor honors deal-teams, dealmakers and firms whose activities set the standard for the industry.

A multi-practice team represented the private equity firm Atlas Holdings LLC in its acquisition of Shorewood Packaging Corporation and its international affiliates from International Paper Company, and took home the Corporate/Strategic Acquisition of the Year ($100 million - $200 million) Award. The transaction, which involved stock and asset acquisitions in eight countries, included Pillsbury team members Peter Alfano, Bill Atkins, Lou Bevilacqua, James Campbell, Jim Chudy, Peter Gillon, Sheila Harvey, Jeff Hutchings, Hakkyun Kim, Scott Landau, David Miller, Michael Sibarium, Joe Tiano, Craig Wolff, Chris Zochowski, Eric Save, Jennifer Giblin, Chuca Meyer, Eric Green, Jeetander Dulani, Amy Rogers, Sam Pearse, Justin Bintrim, Brad Benedict, Nora Burke, Chris Dorsey, Brad Noojin, Cynthia Robertson, Julia Schmidt, Robert Perez, Melanie Belford, and Andrea Schroepfer.

In addition, the Cross-Border Deal of the Year award ($35 million - $100 million) was presented to Pillsbury for its work to assist Lenovo, the world's second-largest PC manufacturer, arrange a major new partnership with Boston-based EMC, the world's largest maker of data storage computers. The Lenovo/EMC deal was led by a Corporate & Securities partner and a multidisciplinary team including Jim Gatto, Peter Hunt, Brian Wainwright, Alvin Dunn, Chuca Meyer and Julian Zou. Tina Kearns is the relationship partner for Lenovo.

M&A Advisor issued the awards to Pillsbury at the publication's 11th Annual M&A Advisor Awards Gala recently in New York. This year, winners were chosen from 230 nominations representing over 600 companies. An independent body of experts, representing the international M&A industry, judged the finalists’ deals, dealmakers and firms.
