PILLSBURY NAMED TO BTI CLIENT SERVICE TOP 30 LIST
November 16, 2009New York — Pillsbury has been named to the 2010 BTI Client Service 30, an annual survey which honors the best law firms in providing client service to the Fortune 1000. Of the 505 core firms advising Fortune 1000 clients, just six percent qualify for the Top 30 list. Pillsbury ranked 17 and was named "Best of the Best" for Anticipating Client's Needs, as well as a leader in Dealing with Unexpected Changes, Advising on Business Issues, producing Quality Legal Products and for Unprompted Communication to clients. The Firm was also recognized in 10 other areas of service, including Client Focus, Understanding the Client's Business, Commitment to Help, and Meeting the Scope and Budget for assignments.

According to BTI Consulting, which conducts the survey, law firms that rank in the Client Service 30 perform 4 to 15 times better based on 17 client service deliverables, and generally enjoy a 35% higher client retention rate. Perhaps that helps explain why 21 of the law firms ranked on the Client Service Top 30 list also happen to rank in the AmLaw Top 50, including Pillsbury. In June 2009, Pillsbury also ranked in the Top 20 among 411 law firms in forging strong relationships with clients, according to a separate BTI survey.
