Pillsbury real estate partners have worked on some of the “most buzzworthy” deals of 2013, as reported by Real Estate Bisnow.

Houston-based partner Laura Hannusch represented Crescent Real Estate Holdings in its $950 million sale of Greenway Plaza, a 10-building complex. Real Estate Bisnow noted that this was “one of the biggest Houston commercial real estate transactions in years.”

Hannusch also advised Saul Trust in its sale of land in Cobb County, Georgia to the Atlanta Braves. Forbes reported that the Braves plan to build a new $672 million ballpark on the land. Team executive Derek Schiller told Forbes the stadium will occupy about 15 acres of the 60-acre site with the rest to be used for parking, mixed-use development and green space.

San Francisco-based Rachel Horsch advised Shorenstein Properties —which owns office buildings mainly in New York, San Francisco and Chicago—on its $286 million purchase of Denver City Center, a pair of downtown office towers. The Wall Street Journal wrote, “The transaction is an example of how large investors are extending their reach beyond top-tier markets to cities with strong regional economic growth.”
