Partners in Pillsbury’s Corporate & Securities practice have piloted teams across the firm’s offices and practices in several recent tech-industry deals.

Partners Jorge del Calvo, Davina Kaile, David Jakopin, C. Brian Wainwright and Wayne Whitlock advised Louisville, Ky.-based CafePress in the sale of its art division to Circle Graphics Inc. for $31.5 million. The online retailer’s art business comprises multiple brands that offer various photography and printing services. Also on the Pillsbury team were partners Howard Clemons and Eric Save; counsel Christina Pearson; associates Ryan Delaney, Matthew Ryan, Colin Conklin and Steve Uffelman; and attorney Stephen Hargraves.

Additionally, a team co-led by partners Allison Leopold-Tilley and Heidi Mayon represented Hitachi Data Systems Corp. in its acquisition of oXya Corp., an SAP software service provider. Also on the team were partners Joseph Tiffany, Cindy Schlaefer and Christopher Wall; special counsel Sanjay Mullick; senior counsel Chuca Meyer; and associate Khan Shing.

Partners Jorge del Calvo, Davina Kaile and Alan Kalin, along with associates Deborah Carrillo and Khan Shing, advised Morgan Stanley and Deutsche Bank Securities as the underwriters in chip technology firm eASIC Corp.’s $75 million initial public offering.

A Pillsbury team also represented a group of Japanese companies led by Imagica Robot Holdings in its purchase of media localization provider SDI Media. The team included partners Ed Perron, Hideki Akiyama, Chris Patay, Sam Pearse, Dana Newman, James Campbell, Evan Finkel, Bill Waller, Sheryl Stein, Mark Jones, Nancy Fischer and Robert Wallan; senior counsel Chuca Meyer; counsel Matthew Burke and Didi Chow; senior associates Amber Ward, Taisuke Kimoto and Jeff Kiburtz; and associates Daniel Raisin, Tammy Chang, Megan McNutt, Mike Horikawa, Ben Cote and Stephanie Rohrer.

Lastly, the firm advised Silicon Valley startup UserTesting as it secured a $45 million investment from venture and growth equity firm Accel Partners. Palo Alto partners Jorge A. del Calvo and Allison Leopold Tilley and senior associate Gurpreet S. Bal handled the investment for Pillsbury.
