The Daily Journal reports involvement by Pillsbury lawyers in a number of recent tech-industry deals:

First, Emerging Growth & Venture Capital partner Stan Pierson and associate Khan Shing counseled storage software startup Portworx Inc. in an $8.5 million Series A funding round. Portworx, based in Redwood City, Calif., announced the funding June 22, along with the launch of its PWX Converged Infrastructure for Containers.

Additionally, Emerging Growth & Venture Capital partners Jorge del Calvo and Mike Sullivan, with associate Deborah Carrillo, represented cloud services company Piston Cloud Computing in its sale to Cisco Systems Inc., announced last month.

Sullivan and Carrillo also advised MatterPort Inc. in its $30 million Series C funding round. MatterPort designs 3D models and says it will use the funds to expand its virtual reality and augmented reality content-creation platform.

Finally, Corporate partner Blair White led a team that represented IT services provider NTT Data Inc. as it acquired financial services consultancy Carlisle & Gallagher Consulting Group in June. Also on the Pillsbury team were partner Julie Divola, counsel Lisa Earl and associates Deborah Carrillo and Jeffrey Jacobi.
