Of those deals, Jorge del Calvo, a Corporate & Securities - Technology partner in Palo Alto remarked: “Due to a continued lack of investment in early stage companies in the sector as reflected in few Series A investments and the near absence of IPOs, the acquired companies are not being replaced. On the plus side, the year was marked by a high level of innovation. Such continued innovation in Silicon remains critical to the future of technology.”
