Pillsbury counseled Santa Clara-based storage company Hedvig Inc. in connection with its $18 million Series B funding round announced June 1. Vertex Ventures led the round, with participation from existing investors Atlantic Bridge and True Ventures. Since its 2012 launch, Hedvig has raised approximately $30.5 million. Founded by Silicon Valley software designer Avinash Lakshman, Hedvig makes storage consolidation software. Pillsbury’s team included Emerging Growth & Venture Capital partner Stanley F. Pillsbury also represented software startup Rancher Labs in connection with a $10 million Series A funding round announced June 9. Mayfield Fund and Nexus Venture Partners participated in the round for the Cupertino-based company. Rancher, which develops technology used to build and manage software applications, said it would use the funding to further its product development and to add to the engineering and development teams. Emerging Growth & Venture Capital partner Allison M.
