Silicon Valley Corporate & Securities partner Stanley Pierson has steered the helm on two recent technology financing deals. In a deal announced Feb. 24, Pillsbury client Reflektion Inc. raised $18 million in a Series B financing round. Reflektion provides real-time e-commerce analytics and has offices in Chicago and San Mateo, Calif.
According to Daily Journal, the funding round was led by Battery Ventures and included participation from Hasso Plattner Ventures and Intel Capital. Reflektion says it will use the investments to fund growth initiatives like expanding its client base, developing new products and moving into international markets.
Silicon Valley-based associates Ryan Delaney and Evan Lee worked on the Pillsbury team with Pierson.
Pierson also advised Palo Alto-based data security provider Vera Security Inc. in Series B round that raised $17 million this month. The round, part of a fundraising effort that totals $31 million thus far, was led by Sutter Hill Ventures, whose managing director will join Vera’s board of directors. Battery Ventures and Amplify Partners also participated. Vera intends to use the funds to expand its sales and marketing and research and development capabilities.
Working with Pierson on the Vera financing was Silicon Valley associate Khan Shing.
