Silicon Valley partner Stanley Pierson and associate Ryan Delaney advised Datos IO, a startup that offers database backup and recovery software, as it raised a combined $15.25 million in a seed funding and oversubscribed Series A funding round, the Daily Journal reports. Lightspeed Venture Partners, True Ventures and others participated as investors. Datos plans to use the fund to expand its sales and engineering teams and to promote new products.

Pierson and Delaney are members of Pillsbury’s Emerging Growth & Venture Capital practice.
